Teen Addiction Help

Welcome to the International Institute for Adolescent Process Addictions (IIAPA) ...

Directed by Dr. Craig A. Georgianna, PsyD, LMFT, CSAT, CMAT, IIAPA has been created to specialize in the treatment
needs of adolescents, ages 12-18, struggling with process addictions.

Our philosophy in treating adolescents begins with acceptance. We believe each individual is important and unique
with his/her own personal innate talents, abilities, and strengths. We believe in focusing on those talents, abilities,
and strengths.

Our therapeutic approach centers on the idea that we meet each individual person where they are at in their life. In
other words, we focus on what is right about the person. This is the foundation to successful treatment.

We believe each individual has the ability to become splendid, evolved, and transformed. Furthermore, we believe
that all individuals will benefit from developing the qualities that will help them to become more fully human and to
make, in themselves, the changes necessary to bring this about.

Adolescents struggling with process addiction very often do not feel they are of much value to themselves, to their
families, or to the world around them. Our objective is to help the teen to discover, and further develop, their innate
talents and abilities by helping them to recognize their strengths in order to increase their self-efficacy. Additionally,
it is IIAPA’s objective to provide adolescents with skills, through clinically proven tools, to help each of them build a
foundation of strong self-esteem and control for life.
