Frequently Asked Questions ...

How much does this treatment program cost?

The cost of the program is $1,300.00. This price includes a $100 assessment, client intake
services, and materials fees. Fees are collected at the initial intake session and are required
in full. Fees are non-refundable. The cost includes 16 outpatient group therapy sessions, each
one a 2-hour duration. Sessions will occur twice a week or once a week depending the various
clients' objectives and individual situations.

What types of payment are accepted by IIAPA?

Treatment payments may be made in the form of cash, check, debit card, or credit card, with the
exception of American Express. Checks should be made out to “Dr. Craig Georgianna”.

Does IIAPA accept Health Insurance?

No. IIAPA does not accept any type of health insurance. We are committed to the confidentiality
of our clients, and therefore, we do not utilize managed care panels. We can provide a monthly
"super bill" invoice that may be submitted to a health insurance company for reimbursement as
appropriate. Clients who carry insurance should remember that professional services are
rendered and charged to the client and not to insurance companies.

Please be aware that submitting a medical invoice for reimbursement carries a certain level of risk.
Not all issues/conditions/problems, which are dealt with in psychotherapy, are reimbursable by
insurance companies. It is the client's responsibility to verify their own eligibility.

I am worried about people knowing that my child/teenager is attending treatment. How does
IIAPA provide for confidentiality?

Confidentiality is the foundation of safe and successful therapy. As a rule, psychotherapists are
prohibited from disclosing confidential communications with anyone unless mandated, or
permitted, by law. We have followed a course of "erring on the side of being overly cautious" in
protecting the confidentiality of [our] clients, unless faced with a mandatory exception to confidentiality,
such as reporting child or elder abuse" (Corey, Corey, & Callanan, 2007).

There are instances when we are mandated by our license to suspend confidentiality and report
certain acts. The law requires that we must report any suspected case of child, elder, or dependent
adult abuse. Furthermore, we are required to reveal information when there is a clear and imminent
danger that the client will do harm to themselves or to another member of society. We are bound to
act in such a way as to protect others from harm.
