How we work ...

We want our clients to succeed. Moving towards that goal, we believe the clinicians and clients must
work side by side to achieve success.

In our approach to treatment, we as clinicians view ourselves as encouragers, promoters, and directors
in helping to facilitate our client's progress. We include the parents and family members, as appropriate,
to correlate recovery and growth.  Almost without exception, the family as a whole benefits as well as the
client.

Our therapeutic approach entails assessing and working in several areas of the client's life, including
mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and social aspects. Our therapeutic approach is a mix of
experiential, person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral orientations. Clients know
more about themselves than anybody else. in other words, they are the experts about themselves. In
that light, we believe in collaborating with our clients in order to recognize and implement the most
appropriate orientations congruent to each individual's situation and objectives. Throughout the program
we will emphasize that success in treatment is further supported by healthy activities that occur outside
of the office, and inbetween sessions.

A majority of the work that occurs with clients will occur in a group setting. Activities for group sessions
may include (as appropriate):
